Most firms hand you a plan. We stay and run it.

Signal Ridge is a restructuring and operating-partner firm. When a business is under pressure, we take senior operating roles inside it — CRO, CFO, CEO — and own the outcome, not the deck.

Most of our work comes from lenders and private equity sponsors with something to protect.

The difference

Advice is the easy half.

The large firms will diagnose your problem accurately and expensively, then leave execution to a management team that is already stretched. We are built the other way around: small teams of senior operators who step into the roles the business is missing and stay until the plan is real.

Three arms, one firm. Most engagements use more than one.

01

Advisory

Restructuring and turnaround, transaction advisory, and performance improvement. Thirteen-week cash, the independent business review, and the lender conversations that have to hold up under scrutiny.

02

Operations

Interim leadership plus the functions a stretched business actually needs rebuilt: accounting, logistics, sourcing, and brand. Our partners have carried the CEO, CFO and CRO titles themselves.

03

Capital

We find situations that need capital and bring them to a network of family offices and private investors, one deal at a time. Fundless by design — no blind pool, and nothing put forward that we would not underwrite ourselves.

Why we cost less

A senior team with modern tools beats a pyramid of analysts.

The traditional firm bills you for leverage: a partner who sells the work, a director who manages it, and a floor of analysts who build the model. You pay for all three, and the people with judgment are the ones you see least.

We have replaced most of that middle layer with tooling we are genuinely fluent in. The judgment stays human and senior. The assembly does not — and we pass the difference on in the rate.

Analysis at speed

Thirteen-week cash models, variance packs and covenant tests built and stress-tested in days rather than weeks — which matters when the constraint is cash and the clock is a covenant date.

Review without the floor

Credit agreements, leases, contracts and AP aging read at a scale that used to take a room of associates and a month of billable hours. Same coverage, a fraction of the invoice.

SKU-level visibility

Inventory tiering, sell-through, margin and velocity down to the item. It is how we tell you which parts of the business are actually earning — and what the inventory is really worth in a liquidation.

A rate card below the national firms, with senior people doing the work, and a diligence cycle short enough to matter.

Size

Deal size is not the filter.

Our partners have financed and evaluated more than 250 companies across the US, Canada and Europe — from early-stage through the upper middle market. That range is unusual, and it is the reason we can look at situations the national firms will not staff and the local shops cannot carry.

A small company gets partners rather than a junior team. A large one gets people who have already done the work at that scale. Neither gets a pyramid.

How an engagement works

Diagnose. Stabilize. Rebuild.

No 60-day discovery phase. A senior partner is in the building in week one, and you hear our honest read early rather than at the end.

01Diagnose

Thirteen-week cash, the real cost structure, and an honest read on what the lenders and the market will tolerate. You get the findings whether or not you hire us for what comes next.

02Stabilize

Stop the bleeding and buy runway. Cash controls, vendor and lender conversations, and the difficult decisions that are easier for someone who did not hire the team.

03Rebuild

Put the operating machinery back: reporting that closes on time, a functioning finance seat, and a management team that can carry it after we leave. Then we leave.

Who calls us

Usually the people with money in it.

Most of our work arrives from a lender or a sponsor before the company has admitted there is a problem.

Lenders

Banks, ABL shops and credit funds who need an independent read on a borrower — and someone credible inside it. We have sat on your side of that table and run the workouts.

PE sponsors

Funds and family offices with a portfolio company that needs operators rather than another observer — or a management gap that has to be filled this month, not next quarter.

Companies

Owners and boards facing a covenant conversation, a leadership gap, or a year that did not go to plan — who would rather make the call themselves than have it made for them.

The team

You will work with the person you met.

A lender who has underwritten and worked out these credits, alongside an operator who has run the kind of company we are called into.
